The Shore Club Miami

By updated on April 28, 2023

The Shore Club Miami in Collins Avenue, Miami Beach! The sexiest beach town, where you go to be seen by those who go there to be seen! Designed by David Chipperfield, renowned British architect, the Shore Club’s personality shines through its deco-revival facade, competing fashionably with its confreres at the spot where Collins moves through chic towards clubland glitz! A short stroll from the airy outdoor Lincoln Road Mall, The Shore Club is ideally situated for celebrity-spotting, beach lounging – or strutting your stuff at either of the two infinity-scaped pools – including a hot tub. Nestled between them, are the Rumbar, an oasis of sheer white curtains, and the more laid-back Sandbar on the way to the private entrance to the beach.

The wonderful pool of the Shore Club Hotel in Miami Beach

Three fabulous dining spots – Nobu with its classic Japanese cuisine, the Skybar, and of course Robert De Niro’s AGO overlooks the pool; pure swank, straight out of Los Angeles. Definitely a celebrity magnet!

And when you’ve had enough of partying, your white-on-white room awaits you and there are over 300 of them, plus 70 oversized suites, all with Mexican sandstone bathrooms and luxurious Agua bath accessories. Full-size bathtubs for soaking and if that’s not enough, indulge yourself with an exclusive massage and body treatment in the 10,000-square-foot rooftop spa. Or spoil yourself even more with a private session in your room. And for the truly energetic, there’s a twenty-four fitness center fully stocked with cardio and weight-training equipment.

At the Shore Club Miami, the beds are wonderful, 300 thread-count linens wrap you in soft snowy-white comfort but put in a request for extra blankets as the air conditioning is very efficient!

At heart, this is definitely a party hotel for the youngsters among us but there are some features for families – a sandpit with toys, high-chairs in the restaurants and cribs are free for the asking. Despite the hotel’s party atmosphere, the terrific rooms, marvelous service, and stunning design all combine into a relaxing stay for all.

Reviews

“Pool, beach, common areas good, rooms HIGHLY overpriced.”

“I loved the pool area and how the property was right on the beach! The hotel when you walked inside smelt so good, not to mention it was so cool! I loved the bathrooms as well and the balcony in our room with the view. Be sure to wake up to watch a sunrise you won’t regret it!”

The hotel looks run down and dirty, and the Nobu restaurant there is the ugliest I have ever seen (I prefer eating next door at the Setai).”

“Only one thing…Carlos the concierge, number 1 for organizing your night in Miami!”

“Welcoming staff, clean rooms despite their oldness, good noise insulation. Good food and breakfast at the sixteen. Great central location, nice pools, and a patio atmosphere (when no music is playing). Paid 22usd for 1h30 of use of an umbrella on the beach. Bad and loud music soup at the pool. In addition, the poor quality of the sound system makes it a real pain for the ears. The bar has 1 full page of alcoholic beverages and 3 items non-alcoholic. 35usd for Sunday brunch/pax and plain coffees were charged an extra 7usd each. Do you know what brunch is ?”

“Lovely hotel great location close to all action, very modern hotel. Great pool, beach access, and a well-equipped gym. Lovely bed and slept well.”

“Excellent area.Right by the beach and Main Street. Paid a $34 per day facilities charge and there was no information on how to use them. Did use the beach beds we could have after asking the concierge where they were. However, it was an extra $22 dollars if you wanted an umbrella. Need an information pack in the room.”

“Location is perfect, close to everything, clean rooms, really friendly hotel, directly on the beach, swimming pool and chairs on the beach. A meal in the restaurant is good. Umbrellas on the beach are for 22 USD / day, doesn’t make sense if you are a hotel guest. The pool has limited chairs, so you must come early in the morning. The bar closes too soon. The second smaller pool has around 35C hot water, which doesn’t make any sense again as outside is hot weather.”

The Scene

What we love
Designed by the top British architect, David Chipperfield, the Shore Club Miami is a cache of high design. Posh rooftop spa. Hip and bustling Skybar. Stellar Japanese at Nobu and amazing Tuscan fare at Ago. 75 different rums at Shore Club’s Rumbar. You can live incredible sunset sitting down in the pool area becoming one of the great choices for two lovers. Pets are allowed without an extra charge.

What to know
Valet parking is $45 a day. Its classic look means it’ll never need a revamp, but certain parts of the hotel are showing their age. It can be noisy, especially at night – the Scenester vibe isn’t for everyone — and here, it’s all about the scene.
