Kimpton Angler’s Hotel

The Angler’s South Beach

Kimpton Angler’s Hotel was a creation of Henry Maloney and the construction of the building was finished during the 1930s. This chic and exotic hotel has a Mediterranean flair to it and guests will feel as if they are on a tropical island. The overall atmosphere here is very relaxing and Zen-like.

Included among the suite amenities of the Angler’s Boutique Resort are luxuries like jacuzzis, plasma televisions, spas, and wireless internet. Guests can reserve one of the 49 suites that range from studios to duplexes, rooftop terrace rooms, or ones with a private garden.

The Angler’s Boutique Resort is conveniently located in Miami Beach on Washington Avenue, between Sixth Street and Seventh Street. All of the popular South Beach restaurants, clubs, and bars are within walking distance of the hotel, including Opium Garden, Prime 112, Mansion, and Prive. The good thing about this hotel is that you are out of the noisy Ocean Drive even if, it’s 0.3 kilometers from you. If you are a fan of nightlife, this boutique hotel is probably perfect!

Sophisticated guest rooms are decorated in a taupe and cream palette, with cozy living rooms, audio-video systems, and custom furniture. Rooftop terraces, private gardens, and private Jacuzzis ensure complete discretion. Like a great friend, the hotel is discreet while being the center of attention at the same time.

REVIEWS
Terrific hotel all around. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. A great spot to call home when in Miami

I stayed at The Angler last August and loved the feel of being so close to all the action, yet so peaceful and classy. A gem in South Beach.

Excellent design, very comfortable beds, really good service, everything was perfect. Definitely will stay there again, and totally recommended.

“The hotel is easy going, well maintained, staff very friendly and operating well. We even used bikes. It’s small but big enough to provide good service, has a nice bar and excellent staff. Caroline at the reception, the barman, made us feel at home and put in the extra effort. I forgot to tip a porter but he stayed very nice, only later I realized. They also gave us great recommendations. I find the 30$ amenity not included in the price a bit annoying/untransparent, but I realize this is standard in Miami.

This hotel was AMAZING. My friends and I came down to South Beach for a bachelorette party and the staff was SO friendly and completely went above and beyond. Janice, Esther, and Dion all made sure we were taken care of and gave us great tips and advice. The hotel rooms were well insulated so we didn’t disturb other guests and they were 10 minutes away from the main area of South Beach which meant it was nice and quiet to come home to. The interior of the hotel and the rooms were very cool and very clean and the pool was awesome. It was an amazing experience. I recommend this to anyone and return as a romantic getaway or for friends – it’s great for all experiences. The one minor downside was that they don’t yet have a restaurant at the hotel so it’s only bits and bites but I know they’re soon opening one.

Do Brunch. The resort’s Mediterranean restaurant, 660 at the Angler’s, will make you never want to go out, with its cozy indoor and lushly landscaped outdoor spaces. Its unlimited make-your-own Bloody Mary brunch, appropriately called the Adult Hangover Brunch, can take up a whole Sunday, while a DJ spins hip but mellow tunes.

Remember Gianni. The Angler’s was restored by J. Wallace Tutt III, the visionary behind Gianni Versace’s opulent Ocean Drive mansion, Casa Casuarina. It’s now an exceptional hotel in its own right, and a popular spot for travelers who want to pay their regards to Versace, who was killed on the steps. Yachties, Rejoice. The 400-slip Miami Beach Marina is just four blocks from the Angler’s. The hotel’s concierge can easily book sailing or dive charters for you.

Stay Buff. What gym you go to is almost as important as the car you drive in Miami, and one of the most gorgeous gyms (with the most gorgeous bodies) is Equinox on Collins Avenue, walking distance from the Anglers.

At cocktail hour, let the smooth vibe of the music lull you into the bar, popular with both the international crowd and discerning locals. Take an outside table at the 660 Restaurant, and breathe in the ocean air as you indulge in Mediterranean seafood dishes. Indulge in a decadent cocktail as you lounge by the pool worshipping the Florida sun. There are four different buildings that belong to the hotel. One of them is the well-known Parisian Brasserie Maison D’Azur, which is a locally well-known bar and restaurant. On top of that, the hotel also has other luxurious amenities that fit well in what is considered the Miami Beach lifestyle, including a 24/7 concierge service, wellness spa, gym outfitted with the most modern equipment, and a café.
