Eden Roc Miami Beach

By updated on May 23, 2023

The Eden Roc Resort Miami Beach resort was originally designed by the farsighted architect, Morris Lapidus in 1955, this world-renowned hotel which sits right in front of the ocean had just undergone a $200 million renovation which introduces a tower that boasts 21 stories and 283 rooms, a remodeling of the existing rooms in the original tower, as well as an addition of a whopping four infinity pools with a beautiful waterfall. When announced its transformation, everyone who is important, such as George Clooney, Madonna, and Steven Spielberg along with a list of other celebrities and royalties were all ready to book and wait for its launch, and this proves the historical power of the Eden Roc compared to other modern hotels in Miami Beach.

Amazing Eden Roc Pool

The pool at the Eden Roc in Miami Beach!!

After the phenomenal transformation, the Eden Roc Miami Beach Hotel now is twice its original size, boasting a new tower that includes a brand new 82 suites, as well as 15 exclusive bi-level bungalow suites that come with floating staircases and a beautiful view overlooking the ocean and the pools. The brand new rooms offer super large bathrooms, huge and expensive bedding, a large-screen high definition TV, high-speed internet access, an iPod docking station in every space, as well as a huge balcony that comes with a hot tub, resting space, and a great view.

The designers of the Eden Roc are also very considerate and nature-friendly as they designed ‘turtle glass’ for every sliding glass door and window as they know that there are sea turtles that would mate behind the Eden Roc Miami, and the glass would render the bright lights of the hotel so it does not interfere with this process at the white sand beach.

The eatery used to be known as the Aquatica, now the Cabana Beach Club is another good spot to eat at the Eden Roc Hotel. The menu here is more casual if you don’t fancy extravagant cooking, ranging from sandwiches to soup, to simple salad dishes to other arrays of meats and seafood. Although simple, the foods are cooked deliciously, and you are able to enjoy your food while completely relaxed looking at the sea.

Reviews

“The staff at concierge were excellent, friendly, and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back. The room was clean and the bay view was beautiful. They kindly added an extra 2 hours for checkout to accommodate my leave. Fantastic stay”.

Michael, San Francisco

“Great room (junior suite, 20. floor). Very good valet service. Nice place to eat outside with an ocean view. Up-to-date equipped fitness room. The pool area is small for the size of the hotel. The beach service is slow. Difficult or impossible to get the attention of one particular person of the beach service staff, so we decided to stop using the service altogether.”

Sarah, Los Angeles

“Nice bar area! Seemed like there was a lot of deferred maintenance. The building was older so it did not make good use of the outdoor space and view.”

Rachel, Chicago

“Wonderful! The staff was great, pool/beach menu was a bit limited. Need an adult-only pool. We spent most of the time at the beach. The pools had kids diving, splashing, yelling which is fine that’s what kids do but they should have one adult-only pool since there are multiple pools on the property.”

James, Boston

“Great location and facilities but very poor service. I have been coming here for the last 3 years because the facilities are great and the rooms themselves are new and spacious. The Beach is also great! It really comes down to service and this is where this hotel continues to fall short. Usually, I stay at the Nobu side but decided to try out the Eden Roc side this time around. The room itself was great, but I can’t seem to understand why this site charges $25/per person to change the spa. This should be standard in any luxury hotel. Also, the pools are much too small to accommodate the two hotels. If you arrive past 9 am all of the chairs are taken and the staff simply will tell you “The pool is at full capacity”. When you are paying top dollar, this should not be happening. Also, this holds true for the restaurant too. When you are a hotel guest, you should be prioritized for the restaurant and should not be turned away. We had to wait one day an hour to be seated and the next day we were told we could not eat there at all. This was mindblowing to be turned away from eating lunch.”

The Scene

There is also a new nightlife spot announced to be opened at the Eden Roc, but it has not been given a name yet. According to the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Eden Roc, David Siguaw, the new nightclub will be exalted, high-end, prestigious, and placed on the underside of a glass-bottom pool.

The Eden Roc Resort Miami Beac hopes for this new nightspot to be opened by April, and when it does, it would surely be the main attraction and celebrities would start to flock to this new nightclub due to its fantasy-like uniqueness which promises mermaids and glass portals, and it is up for you to perceive what that means.

For you’re fine dining experience at the Eden Roc Resort Miami Beach, you are able to choose if you would prefer to dine outdoors or indoors. At the Gia Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar, guests would be awed by the savory menu which offers Italian fusion dishes, and it is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and guests also get to enjoy their delicious cappuccinos or their fine choice of wine.

The Gia Rotisserie welcomes guests to its huge and beautifully decorated French door, elegant in nature and complements the old cement walls which look like the walls of an Italian villa, as well as a feel of Europe to the entire culinary delight. Serving up a variety of mouth-watering dishes like their popular iron-seared tuna eggplant caponata, small dishes of Limoncello cured salmon served with horseradish mascarpone, and a small portion of pickled red onion, as well as the ever-popular seared beef Carpaccio Gaeta olive aioli with black pepper pecorino.

The Spa

• The Spa of Eden, the in-house spa of the Eden Roc Hotel had been extended, and it is now a relaxation oasis for guests of the hotel. The Spa of Eden is now decorated based on the “Lava and Snow”, it is now decorated with rocks that look like lava rocks as well as bright and sharp colors used throughout its space.

• The waiting room is now called a relaxation lounge, where guests who are waiting for their turns would be offered refreshments while enjoying the fire pit.

• Despite the “Lava and Snow” theme, most of the services offered by the spa are water-based, such as hydrotherapy treatments, relaxing whirlpool massages, shared steam rooms as well as hydro-reflexology. There are now classes such as Tai Chi, Pilates, and yoga, and there is a 24/7 fitness center as well as a salon with full service.

Guests could also enjoy the new warm and cool lagoon waterfall.

• As the brand new Spa of Eden is not yet opened its doors to guests, keen visitors could still be pampered by its services from the spa suites which are on the 4th floor of the resort tower, or you could even call for spa service to be done in your own room.
