The National Hotel

By updated on March 12, 2023

Countless history has been witnessed at the National Hotel Miami from the Miami of the ’50s. Countless films have been set against the backdrop of the long pool surrounded by palm trees and greenery that provide such peace. The charm from that era is still prevalent. Breakfast is served at the pool Lounge Bar which is reminiscent of a film set. Experience the beautiful Miami oceanfront at a hotel offering the grace and style of the 1940s combined with modern amenities. Enjoy its prime location steps away from the shopping, dining, and nightlife of South Beach.

The National Hotel MiamiThe National features timeless elegance and sleek, classic décor that is a visual feast of style. Visit the one-of-a-kind pool and enjoy poolside massage therapy and spa services or walk through the lush gardens. The National had live jazz/blues musicians performing on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. They play on some weekdays too! Being able to listen and dance to live music at the bar of our hotel truly rounded out our vacation experience.

The National Hotel Miami is located on Collins in South Beach, not far from the charming Espanola Way, Ocean Drive, and the Lincoln Road Mall and a short drive from Little Havana.” Take a trip to the beach using National’s direct beach access or take in the sites of the historic Art Deco District. After a long day out relax at the on-site fine dining restaurant, Tamara, and enjoy a drink at the Aqua Bar.

The rooms are classically furnished. Nothing too fancy. It is the buzz and the guests in the Lounge that provide the thrill. It is located just opposite Lincoln Road. Rest your head in the symbol of Miami Beach. It has a private beach. Free Wi-Fi.

Amazing staff, extremely dedicated to each visitor of the hotel. Very nice ambiance with great entertainment such as a private concert with the Gypsy Kings!”

Beautiful outdoor settings. On top of that, great food and drinks! Pamela, Rio. “

The breakfast was perfect and included many options! The breakfast porch overlooks the gorgeous palm tree-lined 200 ft lap pool. Our attraction to the National was the length of the pool. We are avid swimmers, and the length was a dream. The ocean was quite nice too! Attendants would help you with lounge chairs, towels, and umbrellas. Margaret, USA.”

Location is amazing and the rooms are good sizes. The staff is all attentive and the pool area and beach have plenty of chairs and loungers. Breakfast on our second day was a very slow service – not sure why as it was the only problem we had. Cameraman, London.”

I loved interior design and atmosphere. The pool was also super and pool manager. The elevators were not working all the time.”

The best breakfast I’ve ever had in hotels from the U.S. on top of that we got free breakfast vouchers and complimentary beach chairs and towels. We love the fact the pool was open for 24 hours! We took advantage of that. Also, it was my wedding anniversary so  I had put in a request to see if they do anything small for that kind of special event and they upgraded my room to a Combana room which is bigger and it was beautiful. It was definitely a surprise and we were happy about that! The valet parking was $40 a night and I just thought it was a little expensive at first but I felt like it was worth it for the in-and out privileges. And they give you the luxury to text a number that notifies them to bring your car out in the front before you even get there!”
