Julio and Renee were great, and we enjoyed their hospitality and kindness, which made our trip even more special. I love the location and the quick access to the beach and nearby stores!

All you need in a superb location – well-maintained art deco hotel with people who care and help. Loads … I was greeted by Camilo, who is a class act: elegantly attired, reassuringly experienced, helpful, and gracious at all times. The rooms and common areas were meticulously cleaned, and the prices sensible for a decent art deco hotel. Pleasantly surprised that two small bottles of water are placed in the room daily.

The dinner menu varied and reasonably priced compared with others on Ocean Drive (and they haven’t succumbed to using gaudy menus with color photos!). Compact but nice bar in the front and evening guitar entertainment outside. Breakfast selection was straightforward but enough. Always fresh apples, oranges, and bananas, as well as a good selection of bagels, bread, and croissants – overseen by a lovely lady.

Been there and it’s quite fun! Daytime parties and Nightlife on the Rooftop are highly recommended!

Diletta, Milan

The location was great, it was right across the beach access entrance and close to lots of restaurants. Loved the Avalon! Can’t wait to return!!

Luca, Barcelona

Perfect spot on South Beach! Very friendly staff and beautiful hotel. Very convenient to beach and shopping and restaurants.

Emma, New York

Brilliant location, staff, and hotel for our 3-night stay – thank you. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, and clean. Slightly dated rooms and a little more surface area would have been helpful. None of this took away from the excellent time spent at this hotel and would still highly recommend.

Oliver, Toronto

Very Good. Location. Cleanliness. Staff. Restaurant at the Lobby. They had a side ramp for luggage. Filtered water dispensers on all floors, but only one was working at the lobby. Rosario, who manages the breakfast area, was very nice and sweet. Julio at the Front Desk messaged me that our room was ready for an early check-in.

Isabella, San Francisco

Not much. Inevitably, the age of such hotels means that some doors and furniture/fixtures may appear weathered, but the hotel is kept clean and well-maintained. Minimal warm food at breakfast, i.e., scrambled egg and sausage patty. The rooms are not awash with electric points, but there was a spare under the bedside lamp. Hanging space is basic and compromised by the ironing board, safe, and fridge, although these are all useful.
