After a period of renovation, is back in Ocean Drive with its original concept rooms. There are plenty of high-end hotels in Miami Beach, and it could be a daunting task trying to figure out which hotel to choose from which would suit your budget, and fitting with your own taste and style as well needs. There is one hotel however which would obviously suit everybody’s need due to its intricate and interestingly flamboyant design similar to those of Andy Warhol’s work of arts, and almost fantasy-like, but surely to intrigue passers-by – this is the Pelican Hotel which offers the authenticity of style and high fashion.
The hotel is owned by Renzo Rosso, the owner of the fashion label, Diesel, which would explain its showy flamboyance, where every single surface is embossed with the logo of the company to make its mark. The style of the Pelican hotel is quite over-the-top, where each and every room is fitted with backdrops of those you see fit to be on studio walls from one of Diesel’s advertising shoots.
There are plenty of themes to choose from in this theatrical hotel, including the Psychedelic(ate) Girl theme, where the room is vibrant in colors like tie-dyes seen in the sixties, and in the Born in the Stars and Stripes room, every single thing about it is inspired by American stars and stripes design, while the most popular room of all, the whorehouse theme oozes sex appeal and every single design in it makes you feel like you are in a brothel, and makes you think of dirty thoughts.

The Scene
The Pelican Hotel offers rooms of themes which would most definitely suit everybody’s taste as they have a wide range of themes from the super girlish Power Flower theme to the executive suite which features leather decorations and furniture with the Zebra theme and the Art Deco room for Miami arts fan and the White room for those who just love the pure color. If you are searching for individuality, the Pelican Hotel is certainly the best choice for you.
The in-house restaurant of the Pelican Hotel is quite casual unlike most hotels, but what else could you expect from the owners of a jeans designer label. The bar is quite tranquil as well, unlike other clubs in Miami. The Pelican Hotel is definitely unique and stands on a ledge of its own compared to other hotels in Miami Beach. It does not try to follow the norms of Miami, which makes it so interesting and intriguing, all at the same time.
